online yoga with Ilvy

Dear people from near and far

I have to get something off my chest here. As usual, I thought long and hard about whether I should write this or not. But somehow it has to come out now.

I am somewhat amazed, irritated, astonished, thoughtful or whatever. I can't really describe it.

Maybe I have to start at the beginning, because there are probably people who don't yet know what exactly we do here in Sweden.

We have a small holiday village in the middle of the forest, 5 cute individual guest cottages, on a 9 hectare piece of forest. Our RelaxRanch is only 1.5 km from Lake Vänern, the largest lake in Sweden and the 3rd largest lake in Europe. For more information, you are welcome to go to www.rel axranch.com 😊.

We took over this farm at the beginning of 2019, had a good first season in 2019. However, 2020 has also resulted in an absence of guests for us due to the devastating Covid19 measures worldwide. We extended the bookings we had already made by 12 months so that guests could catch up on their holidays with us this year. Now, unfortunately, we have already received cancellations again, and we honestly don't know how we will manage if the guests stay away again this year.

But complaining has never been our thing and we'd rather look for solutions than drive ourselves crazy. I thought about a facebook fundraiser a few weeks ago, but honestly don't feel comfortable with it. So now I have weekly online yoga classes going since 1 March, which I have been diligently promoting over the past few weeks. I have received a lot of feedback about how great it is, a lot of likes (over 300 on instagram!) and was optimistic that I would be able to welcome a large group of yoga students in the future.

But what can I say? I have had no less than 3 participants so far (thank you from the bottom of my heart, dear ones). I thought it would be a bombshell, because it's wonderful to be guided through 75 minutes of relaxation and light physical activity in the comfort of your own living room. Of course, it's an adjustment and not everyone's cup of tea, this online thing. It wasn't mine either and I'm also incredibly looking forward to finally being able to teach people face-to-face again. But as I said, it's better to move like this than not at all.

I really hope I don't come across as too accusatory, but honestly, WHERE ARE YOU ALL???? I have so many "friends" on facebook, so many friends and acquaintances in realLife, it can't be that only three want to come to yoga online? As I said, we don't need "donations" because we don't beg for money. I offer a service, which means you get something for your money. And I know it's not easy for everyone at the moment. We don't get any support from the state here either, so we are completely on our own. And that's okay, because you can see what happens when you rely on the state (just as an aside).

I therefore cordially invite you once again to take advantage of this offer for your well-being and to support us in meeting this challenge until people find their way back to the RelaxRanch. Here you can book the courses: RelaxSpirit - Schedule (momoyoga.com)

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Greetings from the Swedish forest.
