Privacy policy
You can find our contact details in the legal notice. If you have any questions about our data protection, please contact info@relaxranch.com.
The privacy policy applies to all Relax Ranch websites. We do not guarantee compliance with the data protection provisions for websites not belonging to Relax Ranch to which there is a link from the Relax Ranch websites.
In the following, we would like to give you an overview of where data is collected and how it is handled.
1.1 General information on data protection
As part of our activities, data is collected and stored at various points by various programs and services. This happens, for example, when you use the contact form or Google Analytics stores your IP address in order to display the behavior on the website to us in aggregated form. We will go into the various "data collectors" in more detail below.
1.1.1 Collection, purpose, storage and deletion of personal data
1.1.1.1 Personal data and its collection
Of course, we handle all our data with care, but with regard to the GDPR, personal data is particularly relevant. This includes your name, address, telephone number, etc., but also your IP address and possibly even user names. In other words, anything that can be used to identify you as a person.
However, data that refers to a company or organization is not included.
When passing on your information on our website, e.g. via the contact form or the comment function, etc., please take care yourself as to what information you wish to transmit: For example, do not write any sensitive data in the comment function or do not share any critical data with us via the contact form.
1.1.1.2 Purpose of data processing
Data processing serves various purposes, which are also discussed in detail below.
In principle, we use the data in the context of customer contact and order fulfillment, the provision of our offer and our services online and the improvement of these. Data is also used as part of our marketing activities.
1.1.1.3 Data processing by third parties
As part of our online offering and e.g. for a better user experience, we use various third-party providers to provide content or services on the website, such as videos, fonts, etc. These third-party providers process your IP address in order to correctly display the content on our website. The various instances are described individually below.
It can also happen that these are located in countries outside Switzerland or even the EU. However, we make sure that the data protection requirements are met.
These third-party providers may also use cookies or pixel tags to process information such as user behavior and other information and may also link it to information from other sources. Detailed information can be found in the following points.
In exceptional cases, data may be passed on to third parties if this is necessary to pursue our claims or if there is a legal obligation to do so.
1.1.1.4 Deletion and revocation
The data collected will either be deleted for a specific purpose or stored until revoked, unless they are subject to retention obligations. Details on the deletion request and storage can be found under the respective points.
You are welcome to contact info@relaxranch.ch for information and deletion requests.
1.1.2 What are cookies in general?
Cookies may be set on this website. Cookies are small text files that are stored permanently or temporarily on your computer when you visit this website. The purpose of cookies is in particular to analyze the use of this website for statistical evaluation and for continuous improvements. However, this also includes optimizing the user experience (e.g. saving the shopping cart in the store).
You can deactivate cookies completely or partially in your browser settings at any time. If cookies are deactivated, you may no longer be able to use all the functions of this website.
For more information on the individual cookies, please refer to the respective sections.
1.2 Contacting Relax Ranch
Our website offers you various options for contacting us, such as forms or the comment function.
The information you provide will be stored by us and used to process your request and for further customer relations. The data will also be stored for internal purposes (e.g. evaluation, tracking and documentation) and any further contact (for further customer support, follow-up, evaluation, etc.). For internal purposes, this data is therefore also stored after the end of the collaboration until explicitly revoked. We also take the liberty of storing notes on explicitly unwanted contacts in order to prevent such contacts.
Please do not pass on any information that you do not want us or others (especially in the public comment function!) to receive. Therefore, please do not send us sensitive data, such as credit card information, by email or contact form, but by telephone.
If you do not wish to use the form or e-mail, you can contact us by telephone on +41 79 461 01 81.
If you wish to delete certain information, please contact us directly at info@relaxranch.com.
Your data is stored in various places (e.g. e-mail program, website, backup) and, if necessary, securely stored on the server of our hoster Hostpoint in Switzerland. Information on the privacy policy can be found in their privacy policy.
1.2.1 Contact form and email
All data that you send us via the contact form or by email will be processed as described above. The data sent includes that which you transmit in the mandatory and voluntary fields, as well as in the message field. Your IP address may also be stored.
1.2.2 Comment function
With the comment functions, we enable you to contact us on the one hand, and above all to discuss and comment on individual blog posts on the other.
To make the user experience more positive, we ask for a user name that enables recognition during longer discussions. We do not use an avatar picture.
In addition, we ask for the e-mail address in order to reduce fake inquiries and to have a contact option, e.g. in the event of potential customer contact or if we need to identify the person behind it for legal reasons. The IP address is also stored.
Information entered in the comment field will be saved and published on the website if necessary. Please make sure that you do not publish any sensitive personal data. You are also welcome to use a fictitious user name.
Your comments are stored on our website and saved in backups. As an important part of the content, the comments are stored/published indefinitely. If you wish to delete or amend your comments, please contact info@relaxranch.com.
If we recognize the need to contact you in a comment (potential customer, other concerns or questions/support/service), the information will be processed as described in the "Contacting us" section.
1.2.3 Booking
We rent out various houses or apartments, which you can request by phone, email or our booking system.
Your contact details will be processed as described in the "Contacting us" section and used for the smooth running of the rental.
For detailed information, please contact us on +41 79 461 01 81.
1.4 Newsletter
We send out newsletters as part of our marketing and information activities. If you have subscribed to the newsletter, you will receive recurring information from the industry, promotions and offers and other content.
We store your email address, your IP address and possibly other information such as your first and last name in order to personalize the newsletter and better tailor it to your interests.
You can register at various points on the website and then receive a so-called opt-in e-mail, with which you confirm once again that you have registered for the newsletter. Only with this confirmation will you be included in our pool of recipients.
You can also be added to the newsletter distribution list via other sources, e.g. newsletter announcements at a trade fair. You will be explicitly informed in these cases and your confirmation will be requested.
Your data will be used to send you the newsletter. However, it is also used to evaluate the performance of the newsletter (aggregated, but also possible at individual level).
Your details will remain stored until you cancel your registration. However, you can revoke your registration at any time and unsubscribe yourself, for example via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter. You can also write to us at info@relaxranch.com.
We are also happy to provide you with information about data processing.
We use the US provider MailChimp from The Rocket Science Group to send our newsletter. Information on this can be found in MailChimp's privacy policy.
1.5 Google services & data protection
This website uses various services from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Below is an overview of the most important pages relating to data protection for Google products:
- General information on data protection: Google privacy policy
- Tips on the individual products: https://policies.google.com/technologies/product-privacy?hl=de
- Use of cookies by Google: https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies?hl=de
- Data protection & advertising tools from Google: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de

Please also check the data protection settings of your own Google account - here you have the option of instructing Google exactly what data it may collect as soon as you are logged in with your Google account.
1.5.1 Google Analytics
1.5.1.1 What data does Google Analytics record and how?
This website uses Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.
Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above(Google Analytics Terms).
Any personal data will be deleted or anonymized after 14 months.
Under the following link you will find various information on data protection at Google.
1.5.1.2 IP masking / anonymization
As the website operator, we have also arranged for your IP to be anonymized. Thanks to IP masking, your IP address is modified in such a way that it cannot be traced back to you personally. This means that all other data such as location, etc. can also be recorded so that they cannot be linked to you as a person without an IP address.
We use the aggregated, anonymized data from Google Analytics, for example, to improve website performance or to evaluate our marketing activities.
1.5.1.3 How to prevent tracking by Google: Browser add-on
If you do not wish to be tracked via Google Analytics on this or other websites, you can download an add-on for various browsers at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Further information on using this add-on can be found at https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/gajs/#disable
1.5.2 Google AdWords, AdSense and Remarketing
1.5.2.1 AdWords
As part of our marketing activities, we use Google AdWords to display ads to internet visitors in various places on the web and in various formats. In principle, we do not process any personal data in this context; for details, please refer to the information on advertising on Google.
However, cookies are set for various functions on our website or on third-party websites and are used to improve the display of advertising material (see below).
1.5.3 Google Maps
This website uses the Google Maps product from Google Inc. to show you maps of locations and to provide you with a quick link to Google Maps, e.g. for further route planning (improvement of the user experience).
For example, Google Maps collects and processes the IP address or location information. By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of the automatically collected data by Google Inc, its representatives and third parties.
You can find the terms of use of Google Maps under "Terms of use of Google Maps" or the terms of use of Google itself. You can set various data protection settings in your browser or the settings of your mobile device, e.g. also for determining your location.
1.5.4 Google Fonts
The website uses Google Fonts. In order to be able to integrate the fonts used, a connection is established with the Google server when the website is accessed, which returns the correct font.
The connection allows Google to retrieve and process certain data. Information on this can be found on the following pages:
- Data protection: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en
- Terms of use: https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=en
- Opt out: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated
However, Google Fonts are currently stored locally so that the IP address is not passed on.
1.5.5 Youtube
We integrate videos from YouTube. Information on which data this service processes can be found at:
- Privacy policy of Google https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/,
- Terms of use of YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/static?gl=DE&template=terms&hl=de
- Opt out: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated
We take care to embed the videos with the extended data protection function.
1.6 Social media and data protection
Nowadays, social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Co. are important in areas such as marketing & analysis, customer acquisition, customer care and customer service. We therefore also rely on the offerings of various social networks.
For each interaction (see below for details) with the social channels, the data protection provisions of the respective operators apply, the most important of which are listed below:
- Facebook: http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php and https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/, profile settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads
- Twitter: http://twitter.com/privacy, opt out: https://twitter.com/personalization
- Google+: http://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html
- Pinterest: https://about.pinterest.com/de/privacy-policy
- YouTube Terms of Use: https://www.youtube.com/static?gl=DE&template=terms&hl=de
- Instagram: https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388
There you will also find information on data protection settings for the respective accounts.
Some social media networks record a wide range of information as long as you are logged in as a user, e.g. which websites are accessed. Details on this can be found in the individual data protection and terms of use of the respective social network. If you would like to prevent this, please check your data protection settings for the respective operator. You can also log out of the network and delete their cookies.
1.6.1 Social media on our websites
You will find various places on our websites where you can interact with the social media channels and, for example, share content.
If you use the share functions and in particular if you are logged in with your account of the respective social channel, various information will be sent to the operator of the channel or tapped by them and linked to your user account. The third-party providers may also set cookies.
Please note the respective data protection provisions and settings (see above). Please note that social networks can, for example, track your browsing behavior as long as you are logged in.
1.6.2 Communication on social media channels
As part of marketing measures, customer loyalty and customer service, communication and, if necessary, data exchange also take place on various social networks, such as our Facebook page.
The data protection provisions of the respective channels also apply here (see above for details). In the interests of your data protection, we ask you not to send us any sensitive data within these channels (e.g. as a comment), as we have no influence on how the individual networks handle this data. Instead, we will be happy to contact you directly by email or telephone.
If you provide us with information about you and your request (e.g. name, contact details, etc.) within the social networks that is relevant for us and our business activities (e.g. to establish contact and initiate a customer relationship, support requests, etc.), we process this information as described in the "Establishing contact" section.
